How to properly use Arcs

I understand what an story arc is; I understand the other entities, but I'm not quite sure how to use the Arc Entity properly in the Timeline. Should I be thinking of it the same way one would think of milestones in a project?

Hi, The Arc entity is normally used to represent story arcs. You would create multiple entities that represent each of the story arcs in your novel, then for each event you can assign what story arc they belong to. This allows you to group the events by story arc if you wish to, so you can easily see which events belong to which story arc. If you don't have a use for this entity, you can delete it from the template. Jess

Is there a way to add multiple arcs to an event?

Hi, If you are using the default Fiction template, then Arcs are set up to only have one per event. However you can change this by going into "Timeline Settings" (cog icon) and opening the "Entity Types" menu and clicking on "Arc". On the right under the Roles heading, you will see a checkbox with "Allow multiple per event". If you check this checkbox, then you will be able to add multiple arcs per event. Jess
