Syncing Aeon 2 with Scrivener document containing Aeon 1 sync links?

Hi Everyone, I appreciate this forum tremendously. It's helping me learn how (and how not) to use Aeon. I have a legacy Scrivener document with Aeon 1 links. Those links are long broken but I'm still using the Scrivener file. I have recreated my story outline in Aeon 2 and would now like to sync it with my legacy Scrivener document. Any words of wisdom? Will the Aeon 1 links cause me problems? Should I erase them first... Or does it really matter? Thank you for your input. Lee

Obviously backup everything and take snapshots. It"S important that the aeon filename for v2 is the same as you used for v1. I had problems when they weren't. When you sync you will find that there will be a lot of conflicts to sort out. Once you've sorted those out just remember to select the utilities wheel Left top - ish) on the snc screen and define where you want the new aeon filds to like. Personally, I've used the Notes in v1 to transfer Chapter Number relating to each event so that it's carried into v2 and via sync to Scrivener. Helped me relayout my chapters to coincide. Good luck!

Hi, Apologies for the long delay in responding to this one. I was trying to squeeze out a few bug fixes, and the forum got away from me. Thanks also to Nic for jumping in and answering this one. If the old sync data is completely irrelevant to anything going on now, deleting those custom metadata fields entirely is an option you could take to clear out the old sync information. You can remove the old fields under *Meta-data Settings* in the *Project* menu. But yes, definitely back everything up first in case you don't like the outcome the first time. Matt
