BLUF: Because Scrivener Labels and Key Words cannot be synchronized with Aeon Entities, there is no effective way to visualize Entities in Scrivener or Labels/Key-Words in Aeon. Detailed Exploration & Ask I may be wrong about this, but I think it is the conclusion I draw after repeated attempts to create synchronized links between Aeon and Scrivener with data that can be easily visualized in both applications. Scrivener Visual Presentation: Label can be used to color cards in cork board and binder & to automatically organize the cork board. Each Scrivener document can have one label. Key Words can be used to color tag cork board cards. Each document can have multiple Key Words. Status can be used to watermark cork board cards. Aeon Visual Presentation: When you create a new Entity, whether or not it is an "allow multiple" Entity, Aeon allows you to automatically group by that Entity and display that Entity in the grid view. Color shows up in the Timeline view Tag can be used for filtering, but not visualized Synchronization There appears to be no way to get either L abel or Key-Word to synchronize with an Entity. Key-Word can be synchronized with Tag, but Tag cannot be used for matrix view or grouping. Label can be synchronized with Color, but Color cannot be used for matrix view or grouping. Though it is visible in Timeline View. Ask Please let us synchronize Scrivener:Label to any Entity that does not have "allow multiple" enabled. Please let us synchronize Scrivener:Key-Word with any Entity that does have "allow multiple" enabled. Thank you! Jeff

Hi, Thanks for your suggestion, you will be glad to hear that we are planning to have the ability to sync Scrivener keywords to Entities in Aeon Timeline in the next version we are releasing. Jess

Woah! How long is that likely to be?

Hi, We don't have a release date yet, but we hope to be able to announce one soon. Jess

Is there any chance you'll also improve the ability to work with Scrivener's status field as well? At the very least, allowing it to work with single entity or list fields would be incredibly helpful.

Hi, It isn't something that we have in our immediate plans, but we will consider in the future as we continue to work on the syncing process. Jess

> @aeonjess > It isn't something that we have in our immediate plans, but we will consider in the future as we continue to work on the syncing process. Out of curiosity, is there a technical reason they work differently across the two programs? Since both Scrivener and Aeon Timeline have fixed list items and Scrivener used a fixed list for its statuses, it seems like using them for Aeon timeline would be the default behavior. However, that's clearly not what's happening and it sounds like changing it wouldn't be as simple setting a value to true, which means there's probably more going on behind the scenes than I understand and I would like to learn more about how the software I use works.

Hi, It is a bit more complicated as not only do you have to sync the values from lists assigned to each documents, but also the underlying contents of the lists. While it is a fixed list, the status field in Scrivener is treated differently than the fixed lists created in your custom metadata. Jess

Ok. That makes sense. Thank you for the explanation.
