Search not working? | Aeontimeline

Happened to try a search in a timeline I've had around for two months. The search feature does not function. I went back to older versions of the time line. Search not functioning. Went to the Web exported version. Search not functioning. Putting in a search word (that I am absolutely certain is in the timeline) the search arrows are active (that is, they're not grayed out), but clicking on them, or hitting Enter, does nothing. Ctrl-F produces the same (non)function. My timelines are (always) built by importing CSV files. I am running Windows 10, version 1903, AeonTimline 2.3.16

Not sure what to tell you. When I search (Win 7, same version of AT), in the first hit the event is surrounded by a box, and the search term is highlighted in yellow. All other occurrences are highlighted in yellow.

What you can tell me is whether anyone there has tested for this problem on Win 10 1903 64 bit OS.

Hi, We have tested this functionality on Windows 10 1903 64-bit and have found it working. Are you able to open one of our example timelines, Murder on the Orient Express, and search for "Poirot" and see if it works for you? This is the example that we tested that worked, and if it also works for you then it might be something specific to your timeline file. Jess

Thank you. The search works on the example time line but not on mine. I've been working on this time line for a few years (keeps growing) and this search problem has only arisen recently. Can I get my time line to you for you to investigate?

Resolved (in a negative way) FYI for the Forum: Some of the text in the spreadsheet I use for importing into Aeon uses Unicode characters for text I want in italics, bold, etc. in the title of an entity. The search function does not recognize those characters.
