Display duration in number of days only-take two

Anyone have a clue as to how I can display the "Duration" field in the inspector and in the event (when selected in the display options) to show in whole days rather than Months, Weeks, Days? (e.g. 1 week, 1 day would be 7 days). I'm sure I used to be able to do it in AT1. Thanks! Sorry for the duplicate post too.

Hi, At the moment there is no way to set the precision of the duration field in the inspector, unless you specify it yourself directly. (ie. If you set the event start date and end date for an event of length 8 days, it will display 1 week 1 day. However if you set the event start date, and then yourself write the duration as 8 days it will continue to display 8 days. Effectively you can overwrite the default way of showing the duration, but you can't set it automatically) In version 1, the same thing applied, if you specified the start and end date then Aeon Timeline would automatically calculate the precision of the duration for you, but you could overwrite it. The difference between the two is how they calculated the precision. In version 1, it only ever displayed the duration in one unit and therefore used the smallest one available. (eg. if an event lasted for 8 days, this is what it would display, however if it lasted 8 days, 1 hour it would display the duration as 694800 hours.) We changed this in Aeon Timeline 2 so that the duration would now display multiple un its, and in most cases this would make the duration more understandable. (eg. in the above example, it would display 1 week, 1 day, 1 hour, which is better than 694800 hours). This is why you would have been seeing the duration in days only in version 1, Jess
