Work with more of your project directly from the Spreadsheet view. Links, images, constraints, and more can now be shown and edited as columns. You can also sort by more fields, including relationships and tags.

Also, CSV import now lets you review all incoming data before you import. Easily see what will and won't be imported. You can also create new item types and properties as you import.

Spreadsheet View

The following fields can now be shown and edited as columns in the Spreadsheet view:

• Date Locked

Inspector

• Images can now be replaced directly without removing the existing image first.
• You can now add a Mindmap field to the Inspector to see which mindmaps an item belongs to or add it to a mindmap.

Sorting

New sorting options have been added to the Spreadsheet view, the Relationship view rows, and the List view:

• Avatar
• Short Label
• Blocks and Blocked By
• Relationships
• Tags
• Image

• Attachments

The following additional sorting options are available in the Spreadsheet view:

• Latest Start and Earliest End

Filters

New filtering options have been added:

• Date parts: Filter by weekday, month, or other parts of a date.
• Date locked: Filter by whether dates are locked.
• Images, attachments, dependencies, and constraints: Filter by whether an item has them.
• Mindmaps: Filter by whether an item is included in a mindmap.
• When filtering by a list or text property, relationship, or summary, you can now filter for items with no value.

CSV Import

The following fields can now be imported:

• Date Locked
• Avatar (initials only, not images)
• Short Label
• Mindmaps
• Constraints
• Duration Counts to Start of End Date
• Links can also now include titles using the format: Title | ​http://www.aeontimeline.com

Improved import preview

• The import preview now shows all rows, including which will create new items, update existing items, or contain values that will not be imported.

Create new types and properties during import

You can now create item types and properties directly while importing:

• Default Item Type now includes a New Item Type option, allowing you to create a new type for all imported rows.
• When mapping a column, you can now select New Item Type or New [property format].
• If you select New Item Type, new items are created from the column values and related to the imported rows.
• Tags and relationships now create missing tags or related items by default. Enable Only import existing [tags/items] if you do not want new ones created.

Other CSV import fixes

• Fixed an issue where End dates could be imported one day or date unit earlier than expected.
• When updating existing items with Add to end of narrative selected, existing narrative positions are now preserved. Only new items are added to the end.
• Duplicate internal IDs are now detected during import. If an ID appears more than once, it is used only for the first row.

CSV Export

The following fields can now be exported:
• Date Locked
• Avatar (initials only, not images)
• Short Label
• Mindmaps
• Duration Counts to Start of End Date

Other export improvements

• Links now export their titles as well as their URLs.
• Containing Item values now export in two columns, like relationships: one with the full label and one with the compact display value.

Added printing support for:

Other printing improvements

• Fixed an issue where files containing many large images could fail to print.
• Fixed an issue where GIFs could not be printed.

Other Fixes

• The Collapse All Groups and Expand All Groups menu options are now disabled when the current view is not grouped.
• Fixed Select in Inspector not working from the Edit menu.
• Added tooltips explaining the cause when the Ongoing option is disabled for the selected item.
• Fixed an issue where a locked parent could incorrectly become ongoing when its children changed from ongoing to having a fixed end date.
• Fixed custom-calendar and other non-Gregorian dates not exporting correctly to JSON.
• Fixed an issue where property dropdowns could still be set for item types that don’t include that property in the Spreadsheet view.
• Fixed a minor visual jump when focusing dropdown cells in the Spreadsheet view
